Motivational PUSH: NEVER give up!

5 reasons why people give up

Have you ever found yourself working towards something one day and then not doing anything at all? Why is that? Below I have listed 5 of many reasons as to why people give up.

1. Expect Fast Results

We live in a "microwave" society. We want to have the hot item and we want it fast! When things do not unfold as we expect them to in the time we expect, we tend to give up. In most cases, reaching a goal takes hard work, dedication, and TIME! Don't be discouraged when you set a goal for a certain date, and you're not where you thought you would be when that date arrives. Set smaller reachable goals with realistic timing that will aid in reaching your bigger goals in a timely manner. BE PERSISTENT!

2. Don't Believe in Themselves

We are our own worst critics. We tend to see our own flaws before anyone else can point them out. Once you accept who you are and know that there are certain things that will not change, you have just realized your own characteristics. Now accept them! Use your "uniqueness" to go for what it is you want! It doesn't matter what someone else thinks of you, what society says you should be, or who your past portrayed you to be. Your characteristics, your experiences in life, and your individual thought process can be the very thing that is needed for discovering that one invention the world needs. You are capable of reaching your goals, chasing your dreams, and being successful. It all starts with your belief. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

3. Never Visualize the Possibilities

Every goal starts with a thought. A thought it will remain if one doesn't put it into action. As an entrepreneur with a business idea, it is common practice to think it, believe it, speak it, and see it. Visualizing your ideas is a major step towards accomplishing a goal. When we are unable to visualize the process, the possibilities, and the success, we tend to give up. Some visualization techniques include writing it down in black and white, creating a board of images to tell a story, or simply watching others that are already successfully doing what it is that you want to do. By visualizing your goals, you are able to focus on what's important which can aid in the reality of what's to come. Don't give up when things aren't unfolding as you visualized. Step back and re-evaluate your visualization techniques. Be as detailed as possible, but realistic. Overtime you will become emotionally connected to what you see before you and in return you will act. KEEP THE FAITH!

4. Afraid to Fail

We tend to associate failing with being something bad or negative. You have to fail in order to succeed. If you see someone who is successful, know that they were once a failure. Trying something and failing over and over allows you to gain experience, understanding, and eventually success. It's like putting a formula together. You may try some of this, some of that, and a little of this just to find out that it doesn't work. Then you try some of that, a little of that, and some of this just to find out that it doesn't work. But, eventually you put it together correctly! Most people give up right when they are at the threshold of success. They quit too soon! Faith and courage are the greatest tools to have when you are wanting to reach your goals. You need the faith to see what's not already in front of you and the courage to believe in yourself to make it through. Contrary to beliefs: failing is an option. PERSEVERE!

5. Not Willing to Change

We as humans do not like change. We love to be comfortable. When you set out to reach your goals, it requires stepping out of your comfort zone and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. You will have to learn new things, lose sleep, miss fun times with friends and family, spend money, be frustrated, fail, be patient, and so on. I lost some of you at "miss fun times with friends". If you want to succeed, you have to accept changing and an adjustment of life. When you're not willing to change, you're not willing to succeed. I encourage you to obtain a support group, get rid of the things or people that will only distract you, and know that change is doable. STAY MOTIVATED!

IN CONCLUSION

I encourage you to stay on track, don't give up, raise the bar, and believe in yourself! As long as you are willing and able, you will reach your dreams and achieve your goals! Take it one second at a time, one minute at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time, and one year at a time. IT WILL HAPPEN!!! GO FOR IT!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! KEEP FIGHTING!!
